Bird Sewing Tutorial

Dudes did you see my bird pattern I posted you you guys last week? It was my first pattern so please ignore the imperfections. It will only get better I swear. What did you make? I have two bird designs to share with you for inspiration (one this week and one next so check back).
This is my bird doll! How freaking cute. I have plans in the future for this baby, but I'll have to put you on hold with those idea for the moment while I show you how I made it.
Start by cutting out your pattern. Scrap fabrics are perfect of this little guy. You will need to cut two of the birds body, two wings, and two eyes (not part of the pattern). I left out the feather details, but you can add them if you like.

Start buy sewing the wings on.

Next flip the bird over so the right sides are facing (the side with the wings are facing each other) and sew around the bird. Leave a hole at the bottom where you can stuff the bird and flip it inside out. Remember you don't need to use a sewing machine. Hand stitching will work just as well.
Flip the bird inside out. I used a pencil to help push out the tail and beak that I couldn't reach with my fingers.
Than stuff and stich shut.

Finally glue on the eyes. If you don't like that look check out my post next week where I do the eyes differently.

So what did you do with your bird pattern?
