Felt Doughnuts Round 2

Last week I showed you some felt doughnut love with two strawberry icing doughnuts. Did you make them? How cute did yours turn out? This week there are a few more with Boston cream, elcairs, and sprinkle.
What you will need:
  • Light Brown Flet
  • Brown Felt
  • Pink Felt
  • Stuffing
  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Yellow/white/cream colored embroidery thread or string.
  • Two color embroidery thread for sprinkle
  • Glue

Draw out the your eclair by making two straight lines roughly 6 1/2" inched long and 2 1/2" apart and freehand two rounded corners.

Measure your doughnut piece against the dark brown felt to make the icing. Cut the felt about 1/2 to  1" smaller making the edges uneven to make it look like icing.

Sew the icing to the light brown felt. Next place the right sides of the doughnut together and sew leaving a hole. Turn right side out, stuff and sew shut. Ta-da!

Making the Sprinkle doughnut is similar to how you made the strawberry doughnuts last week. Use a bowl about the size of the palm of your hand to measure out the pink icing and doughnut pieces. Cut the pink icing a bit smaller than light brown doughnut pieces and sew on. Using different colored embroidery thread make small stitches randomly around the icing.
Place both of the doughnut pieces with the right sides together, sew leaving a small hole, turn right side out, stuff and sew shut.
Finally the Boston Cream. Make it the same way as the other doughnuts. On the side use string to make it look like cream is coming out the side. Glue the string in a spiral layering it to get the cream a 3D look. If the glue isn't holding try securing it by tacking it down with a needle and tread.
Show me what your made! Tweet, Facebook, or share on Instagram photos of your creations with me. They may just show up on my blog with some linky love going back to you.
